Here is a very easy way to make 3-D flowers!
I used a scallop circle punch. (used two colours of paper just to show what I’ve done)
Then I cut each circle in half.
Fold BETWEEN the scallops to get the 3-D effect.
Glue the halves together (make sure one half is ON TOP of the other – back to front. If you glue them face to face, they won’t lay as well)
If you fold between EVERY scallop you will have more ruffles on your flower like the one on the left.
Use on a card or layout. I sewed my button on THROUGH the flower because with the folds, the flower is hard to adhere.
You can switch this up a bit by using the halves for other things too. I made a butterfly with some of them.
I can’t wait to see what you come up with!!! Share it here so we can see your flowers and other creations!
This week we are giving huge kudos to Prima (you know, the flower people). Their blog is wonderful, full of eye candy galore. AND today there is even a great post on how to alter their flowers using various mediums. Fab-u-lous!!

Question of the Day: If you were a cartoon character, who would you be?
Welcome to our weekly Club House Challenge! This week, let’s look at pop culture and incorporate that into our creations. How does it influence us? I used the title “i-play” as a spin on the popular names of electronic gadgets out there like the i-phone or i-touch.
Let’s see what you come up with! Please link us to your blog by commenting below. We’d love to see what your take on this challenge is. :0)

…to say there will be no Technique Tidbit Thursday this week. I just got back from spending half the night in the hospital with my son and he is requiring some extra TLC right now. Thanks for your understanding.
Okay, I saw this the other day and I knew I had to share it with you for Club House Kudos:
Isn’t that just adorable? Now the best part is that the template can be found at Cheeky Magpie’s blog so you can make one of these “tweet” little guys yourself! See it here. I definately think it’s Kudos worthy, don’t you?
