We would love to see what you can create with this 12″ x 12″ sketch. You may choose any theme you wish. We will choose a winner from all entries and you will win a prize from SBCH! The winner chosen will then get to design an example from one of my sketches for one of the future blog sketch contests. The deadline for the contest is Monday April 28th. A winner will then be chosen on Tuesday April 29th and I will post another sketch contest on Wednesday April 30th. Scrapbooker’s Club House will continue to hold this contest biweekly. We hope you will give it a try!
When you have completed your Layout you can post it in the “blog contest” gallery or e-mail to me at firstname.lastname@example.org or Nicole at email@example.com. Please be sure to also name your entry with “Blog Contest #13” either in the title or description in the gallery. Would you enjoy designing for Scrapbooker’s Club House?
Want to try out the fabulous May kit and share your talent and ideas with the gals? Well, we have a Club House challenge for you! Read on!
May: The very word conjures up images of apple blossoms, warm breezes, sunny days, a few raindrops and quickly drying but fun-to-splash-in puddles. Spring. … ahhhh—- full-fledged SPRING is almost here!
There’s just no better time to encourage talented Scrapbookers to take on a contest to be the MAY GUEST DESIGNER at SCRAPBOOKER’S CLUB HOUSE!
So…May = Spring.
Spring, aside from being a favourite season, is also a verb meaning “to leap.” For the May Scrapbooker’s Club House Guest Designer Contest, we challenge you to use one of the expressions listed below containing the words “leap,” “jump” or “spring” to inspire a layout. We also want you to include journaling to explain the “leap” that your LO depicts. (Please note: It’s not absolutely necessary that the expression itself appears on the LO or in your journaling.)
Remember: use an expression from the list below to inspire the creation of a LO.
Include journaling to explain the “leap” that your LO depicts.
The LO you submit may be ANY size OR may take the form of a “mini-album.”
Remember to upload your LO into the May Guest Designer Folder in the Gallery. You must include your name on your submission!
DEADLINE for submissions is midnight MST on Friday, April 25, 2008.
Here are the expressions you may choose from to create your contest LO. Remember to be creative! Many of these expressions can be used for multiple ideas. One will be a good fit for what you want to express. We have included a few examples beside certain expressions to get the juices flowing. Do not allow the “ideas” posted to limit your thinking. J
look before you leap (example: A LO about planning a move/new job, house-flip, etc…)
just a hop, skip and a jump
take a leap of faith
to get a jump on it
making a developmental leap (example: Toddler’s first steps, words, etc…)
a lover’s leap
go jump in the lake
a springboard to…(example: A career LO, new job, better opportunity etc…)
2008: A leap year
(to) jump in with both feet (example: A wedding LO, a real-estate purchase LO)
a jumping-off point
If you win, remember that you’ll have the privilege and creative joy of being a Guest Design Team Member at Scrapbooker’s Club House for the month of May.
